Episode 5: Bats
I'm so excited for you all to listen to our next episode of "From Ew! to Oh!". This one is all about bats and we were lucky enough to interview Leith Miller, a bat researcher at the University of Washington. The episode can be found here! The transcript of the episode is here.

In this episode of the podcast, Leith mentions that a bat box is a good option if you've noticed bats taking residence in or near your home. There are many great bat box options that you can buy (including this one on Amazon) and there are also instructions here if you want to construct your own!

Leith also mentioned the bumble bee bat, which is the smallest bat in the world. Look at how unbelievably small it is!

FInally, Leith mentioned how important bats are to the process of pollination and she particularly mentioned their role in pollinating the agave plant, an ingredient in tequila. I'm going to be researching more about bat-friendly tequila, but for now, check out this brand of tequila that is helping out bats!
