If you've been following my blog recently, you'll know that I was fortunate to be able to travel to Borneo in August and learn about, among many other fascinating things, the conservation issue of palm oil. Please see my previous post here and learn more about the issue of palm oil and how it impacts ecosystems around the world.
It might seem like the issue of unsustainable palm oil is overwhelming - what can I, one person, do to help communities and environments thousands of miles away from me? I'm glad you asked! I recently developed and piloted a tabling kit that makes it easy to tell your community members about the importance of sustainable palm oil. This kit not only informs the public but also gives them specific, easy actions to take immediately that can make a difference. I'm excited for you all to try it out! I had some fantastic conversations with people when I used the kit.
You can find the link to the kit's contents here. I encourage you to try it out and let me know what you think! Comment below with any questions or comments that you have because I'm looking to constantly improve the kit to make it an even better tool for educating the public about sustainable palm oil.
